We need to know how the factory processes food and where the food comes from. It is hard to get healthful food but we have to eat what we get because food is very important in our lives. We are worrying about the chemicals residue left over from spraying. We need to…

In my opinion I think that we have to take care of ourselves more and to be aware of how our food is produced for our own health.

Food Inc. is a documentary that is out to reveal the current state of American food industries and shows the mass production of food. Shockingly, this film is extremely one sided. Throughout the film there are certain things that are misrepresented and are only given an opinion from one…

First of all, I think you’re right—it is easy to paint a giant corporation as the evil villian. That said, when it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck…While individuals and companies do have a right to protect their creations, I am not sure if genetically modified food could really be their “creation.” Also, most of the farmers they shut down, never intentionally stole Monsanto seed. They were simply unluckly enough to be neighboring a farm that did use the seed. Wind here is the real culprit. Saving seeds may be illegal, but it also used to be illegal to teach a slave how to read. I believe King would consider the seed law to be unjust. My point is that legality or illegality is not the same thing as right and wrong. Despite what I have said, I don’t think it does any good to paint the company as evil. Monsanto is doing what they are supposed to do—make money. That is their only consideration. Perhaps, we, as a nation, need to rethink that priority.

I agree that the food corporations are producing food that its cheaper, bigger, and faster to benift everyone..

The most important component of feeding an entire culture is the food staple. Food is any substance or material eaten to provide nutritional support for our body. In order to give our body support we need to eat healthy and most important of all is to be aware of what is in our foods. I believe that we as an American society we really don’t know about the food we buy in our local supermarkets, how its produced, and the consequences it might bring us in the future.

We need food to survive and in order to have food we go to our local supermarkets to find the best food we think it’s best. We don’t know weather is sanitary or poison. While being at the store the food might seem good and in perfect conditions but we really don’t know what the food contains. According to the film ‘food Inc’ they expose the hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies. Two important agencies would be the USDA and FDA. Which help improve the health of many people, but in the other hand our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, and live hood of the American farmer. All this has a big impact in the food industry. The film “food Inc” exposes America’s industrialized food system since it has been seeded, cultivated, and distributed to the market.

It might seem easy to produce a variety of foods but we really don’t know what has our food being through. According to the film “food Inc” they stated that two-thirds of cattle were slaughtered to provide beef to the U.S. consumer; these cattle are injected with artificial growth hormones to make them grow faster and increases the milk production which means higher profits of beef and milk but in the other hand hormones are harmful to human health and the environment. Many animals like chickens cattle, turkeys.etc are raised in factory farms under inhuman conditions. It’s unsafe to our food system. Another cause of food borne illness would be endosulfan. Endosulfan is a toxic pesticide; used to controlled insects on the food. This toxic pesticide affects the nervous system by producing nausea, headache, etc. It may result in death. Before our food gets to our local markets it passes through all of these chemicals that are affecting what we eat, how its produce, how we  have become as a nation and where we are going from here.

Food has a big impact on our nation and how food production has changed over the last fifty years. There are many reasons why we are riddle with widespread obesity; particularly among children, and an epidemic level of diabetes among adults. Some causes of this epidemic of obesity and diabetes in children and among adults would be candy bars, snack, and junk food. Also the meet production has to do with the food borne illness. In the film “food Inc” an innocent two year old boy Kevin died from e-coli poisoning after eating a hamburger because they produced beef with e-coli and they distributed to the market without realizing what would happened. I believe this was horrible and if we don’t do anything about it our families and we would be in dangerous.

My opinion is that we as an American society should know what our food contains for our own good. There are many solutions to our problem. In order to have better results and decreasing America’s obesity and illness percentage the USDA needs to update its nutrition standards for food. We need to quite buying these toxic foods and buy organic products at your grocery store. While buying organic foods it may end up costing more but in the other hand you need to look at all the benefits it might bring us in the future, I hope that America’s food production starts changing in the right way and that Americans opened their eyes to see what really goes on behind the scenes of our nation’s food system.
